Toronto Joint-Operations Field Day 2008 Event HMCS York  (June 28-29 2008)

Field Day is an annual amateur radio exercise run by the National Association for Amateur Radio encouraging emergency communications preparedness among operators in Canada and the United States.  The intent is to practice the rapid deployment of radio communications equipment in environments ranging from operations under tents in remote areas to inside Emergency Operations Centres.

ARES-EmComm Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2008  (April 12 2008)

Emergency Operations Centre Activated for RAC Winter Contest (December 29th 2007)

The doors of the Toronto Emergency Operations Centre were opened for the RAC Winter Contest as an ARES exercise. New Six Metre Repeater GTA Area (VA3ECT)

Toronto ARES is pleased to report the installation of a Six Metre repeater for wide area ARES coverage. The repeater VA3ECT 53.39- (NT) is located on the Scarborough bluffs, preliminary tests indicate promising results. 

All interested radio operators are invited to join us on the Toronto ARES Six Metre net every Saturday evening at 9:00 pm.
